Thanksgiving is fast approaching and if you’re looking for last-minute fun for the whole family, we have you covered.

Get a workout in before a full day of eating by heading over to Oceanside for a Turkey Trot the morning of Thursday, November 24th. Wear your favorite Thanksgiving costume for a spirited 5K walk/run or take the kids on a fun 1-mile walk. The starting point for this race is at 330 North Coast Hwy and finishes on The Strand adjacent to the Oceanside Pier. Click here for more information and to register.

For those of you who want to add a little adventure to the day, grab your friends and family and head over to an escape room. Test your skills and teamwork by trying to “escape” the room before time runs out. Click here to learn more about the adventure and to book a time slot.

Do you like jazz music? The annual San Diego Jazz Fest is back on Wednesday, November 23rd through the 27th. Come out and celebrate jazz music with a variety of performances ranging from traditional jazz to swing, blues and so much more. A full list of artists and to purchase tickets is located here

Lastly, one of the most popular activities during Thanksgiving weekend is exploring Balboa Park. Locals have noted it’s one of the best times of the year to spend walking through the historical buildings and taking in the botanical gardens.
