Fireworks & Fun:
Celebrating the 4th of July in Style
June 26.2023

As we welcome the official start of summer with the 4th of July, we’re excited for the air to be filled with the scent of family barbecues and for our community to be filled with laughter and joy. Whether you’re looking to celebrate by watching the night sky explode in a dazzling symphony of colors, attend a parade, or enjoy a summer concert, we’re ready to dive into the Fourth of July weekend!

Here are some of the best places to celebrate this year.

Big Bay Boom (July 4)

The largest and most famous event in San Diego County is the Annual Big Bay Boom Fireworks Show. The show starts at 9 p.m. and can be viewed from multiple locations around the San Diego Bay. The best viewing spots include Shelter Island, Harbor Island, the Embarcadero area, and Coronado Landing. If you find a place along the bay, you will definitely enjoy it.

Historic Old Town Fourth of July (July 4)

Looking for a traditional 4th of July Parade? Head over to the Old Town State Historic Park for a traditional procession starting at 11 a.m. There will also be crafts and activities for all ages.

Coronado 4th of July Parade (July 4)

This fun parade is held at Coronado and goes down Orange Avenue starting at 10 a.m. Following the parade, there will be a concert in Spreckels Park and fireworks over Glorietta Bay. Don’t forget to sign up for the annual 12K and 5K runs for those who are interested in being active. Click here to sign up for the races.

Sounds of Summer - Switchfoot (July 3)
